What type of finished artwork file should I send to you for printing?

PDF or JPEG files are preferred but you can also upload TIFF, Illustrator (AI) and Photoshop (PSD) files.

Are there any file types you cannot work with?

We do not accept PNG, Pages (mac), Publisher, SVG, WEB, .HTML, or GIF files.

Is there a maximum file size?

Yes, please keep file sizes below 200mb. If your files are larger please let us know so we can discuss.

Can you please explain to me about file resolution. What do you need?

For the small format jobs, such as flyers and business cards we would advise the resolution to be 300dpi minimum.  This includes brochures, magazines, programmes and all “jobbing” work. Large format jobs such as posters and roller banners should be 150dpi minimum and for PVC banners we would advise 75 – 150 dpi.

I’m not sure if my proof is right. Can I sign it off and leave it to you?

Please do not approve proofs unless you are completely happy with them. Please get in contact to speak to us, outlining your issue and we can take a look at what we can do to help.

What should I check the proofs for?

Remember when you sign a proof you are taking responsibility for the finished job. Hence the word “proof”. It’s proof you knew what you were getting as a finished job.

Checking proofs is a vital part of the print process. When checking over your proofs, please download the file on to your desktop and check to make sure you are happy to receive this in the final product.

We’d advise to check the information below - carefully - and more than once.

Colour – make sure that your colours are consistent throughout and there haven’t been any changes. Setting your artwork up in CMYK should prevent this from happening.

My job contains election material. Do I need to add anything to it?

My job contains election material. Do I need to add anything to it?

Yes. When you are purchasing election material to be used to promote a candidate, a political party or a category of candidates in an election you have a legal duty to include on the artwork an imprint containing the name and address of the printer, the promoter of the material and any person on behalf of whom the material is being published.
